I finally used the Sally Hansen nail stickers that my friend Giselle got for my birthday. I put them on for my roller derby team’s first intra-league bout. Go lion maimers!

Got the fear
SEVERELY! It’s my first bout on Sunday and I totally don’t feel ready, I know I can do it but i’m so nervous. I just hope I don’t pee my pants on track because right now that seems like a definite possibility, doesn’t help that my boss is playing for the opposite team and we have spent every day for the past 2 weeks trying to psych each other out……… BUT I AM SO EXCITED!!!

I’m a rubbish blogger aren’t I! Too much real life going on, I forgot all about the roller derby challenge (I suck!) but ONE DAY I will actually force myself to do it. I made the team for our intraleague bout though so i’m sooo excited for that - it will be my first bout ever! Eeeeeeek! :)
Officially back in action
…….Again! I went to our bambi’s (fresh meat) practice tonight to check I was ok to skate and i’m feeling good about it, got my knee strapped up, new skates and a new borrowed wheel setup to try :) So far i’m loving them, i’m on Heartless Creepers & Breakers but i’m yet to try Poisons which are gonna be next! I’ve got my eye on G-Rod slims too. Soooo much choice but I want to try as many as I can before I commit to buying a full set. I’m going to wait to see a doctor and/or physio before I scrimmage again though just to be on the safe side, if I injured my knee again I would be out for at least 3 months and I really reeeeally don’t want that!!! I feel really unfit though after 2 months of not skating so i’ve started the roller derby workout challenge and it is a killer, i’m gonna start posting the homework things on here every week to keep up with it! Do you guys have any wheel setup suggestions that I could try out?
